few weeks ago, we politely asked if you'd started working on your
Mardi Gras costumes. Not being mind-readers, we assumed everything
was proceeding smoothly. But we worry. We care, dammit. So does the
CARNIVAL CREATIONS BOUTIQUE SHOW, which provides enough costume ideas
to fill Mardi Gras World. This decidely funky offering includes everything
from costumes, masks and hats to headdresses, jewels, accessories
and "Mardi Bras" (?), all crafted by some of New Orleans'
more free-thinking designers (Tracy Thomson, Heather McFarlane and
Roby Joy, to name a few). Get the creative juices flowing Sunday at
Cafe Brazil (2100 Chartres Street). This marathon show runs from 1
